No worries
The easy two words that erase small tension instantly.

01
What it really means
“No worries” means “it’s okay, don’t feel bad.” It does two things at once: it accepts the apology and it lowers the tension. It’s warmer than “it’s fine” and lighter than “don’t apologize.” Native speakers reach for it dozens of times a day.
In one line: It's okay, don't feel bad about it.

CULTURE INSIGHT
Americans like to clear small tension fast. A long reassurance can make the other person feel they did something bigger than they did. “No worries” closes the moment in two words and lets everyone move on.

YOUR CHALLENGE TODAY
Today, the next time someone apologizes to you for something small, answer with “no worries.” Notice how quickly the other person relaxes.
